Learn MoreThe Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino
In December of 2010 Las Vegas will open its newest 3.9 billion dollar hotel and casino called The Cosmopolitan. The Cosmopolitan boasts of 2,995 rooms all with their own private terraces. A Las
Vegas hotel has never accomplished this feat before. Also included in the hotel and casino are 13 restaurants, a luxury spa, nightclub, 1,800 seat theatre, meeting/ convention space and retail stores. The 40th floor has an open-air balcony overlooking the glorious Las Vegas Strip.
The Cosmopolitan will feature some of the best dining flown in from both coasts. Bruce and Eric Bromberg’s Blue Ribbon from New York and David Meyers from Los Angeles will open his restaurant Comme Ca. Other restaurants to open are Estiatorio Milos and Scarpetta. There is anticipation in the air for food lovers and critics alike.
The architecture of The Cosmopolitan is strikingly unique. Located next to the Bellagio one can view The Fountains of the Bellagio, Parisian’s Eiffel Tower and other sights from the rooftop beach club with ease. The design of the hotel is trendy. It is wrapped in a charcoal gray glass with palm trees and geometric designs. It looks like something out of a fairy tale, shiny and bright with two huge towers that reach high into the sky. The construction on the hotel has been more of an eyesore than anything these past few years, but once finished the Cosmopolitan will be a welcomed addition to the Las Vegas skyline.
