Las Vegas Hotels with Wifi

We often travel through Las Vegas either on the way to or from California or Idaho. I am a business traveler who relies on the Internet to do all of my work. Most hotels offer wifi access in the rooms with hidden charges. On the most recent trip we stayed at Whiskey Pete’s in Primm and Terrible’s off the strip. One choice stood out beyond the other for business travel.

Whiskey Pete’s in Primm, Nevada was where I stayed on the way to California. The room rate was quite low on a Tuesday. The room cost $19. The front desk holds a $30 deposit on a card or in cash until check out. After a long day of traveling the room was not equipped with complimentary wifi. The rate for 24 hours is $11.99. Quite disappointing as the wifi was not working. Due to the lack of wifi I was unable to complete a work project that day. Overall, for a business traveler based on the faulty wifi and additional charges I would not return.

On the return trip to Idaho I stayed at Terrible’s off the strip. The room rate was $27. The deposit was $100 on a credit card. Cash deposits are not accepted at this location. The room was spacious. The work space was good. The wifi was free. The internet worked perfectly and I was able to complete work with no problems. For future stays I recommend Terrible’s for business travel. The only suggestion I have for this location is to accept cash deposits. Travelers might be willing to stay if the cash will be returned upon check out.
