Wonder in the Strip

Posted on October 4th, 2009 by Tamara McGee Andersen in Las Vegas, What I did in Vegas

Vegas is known for the parties and the gambling. There is no doubt that there is excitement in walking across lobbies that are filled with slot machines, black jack tables and crap tables. Free drinks and the hope that Lady Luck in on your side can keep you entertained for hours.

It is however a sad thing to note, that many people never leave the comfort of the luxurious hotel they choose to lay their heads. Vegas is known for hotels that are awe-inspiring. So why not walk the Strip and truly enjoy the wonder of it.

The Luxor Hotel has a sphinx replica outside of a replica of a pyramid. Inside you can see the four corners of the hotel move further and further up in tighter and tighter circles until it reaches the pinnacle of the pyramid. The Venetian is reminiscent of Venice with gondolas and gondaliers running through it. Caesar’s Palace has an animated water show that tells the story of Atlantis. Treasure Island will remind you of Swiss Family Robinson.

You don’t have to spend money to enjoy your time in Vegas. Enjoying the unique hotels can keep you cheaply entertained for hours.
