Red Rock, the priciest off-strip casino *ever*

In a matter of hours, Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa will hold its grand opening — and become the priciest off-Strip casino resort ever built in Las Vegas.

It’s located about 10 miles from the strip, right near Red Rock Canyon. It cost $925 million to build — not much compared to casinos on the strip, but (obviously) much more than any other non-strip casino.

The 414-room, 9-restaurant Red Rock is hoping for a 5-star rating. Here are some views of the rooms, which are “equipped with 42-inch plasma TVs and iPod-ready Bose stereo systems”:
