GM Rolls Out New Thrill Ride in Vegas

General Motors (GM) has opened their new attraction in Las Vegas and it is called The Drive. It will cost $10 and anyone over 18 with a valid license who can pass a breathalyzer test is welcome to take ride.

This ride is part thrill and part test-subject. GM are trying to attract tourists to test over a dozen cars and trucks including the Cadillac Escalade and Chevy Corvette. The new attraction is located at the shuttle stop outside of Sahara Hotel & Casino and this is where GM has leased 11 acres for the next 6 months as they conduct this test. Here on this plot is where a customer can choose two tracks. A super fast track with high wall turns or an off-road adventure with two trails.

From April 10-30th Nevada residents can ride free. “The Drive” will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, including holidays. Hours are subject to change due to daylight and/or special events.

A single driver ticket will cost $10 and entitles the bearer to one of the following:

Two experiences on the Performance course (four laps), or
Two experiences on the Off-Road course (two laps), or
One experience on the Performance course (two laps) plus one experience on the Off-Road course (one lap).
Drivers who want more than two experiences will be required to purchase an additional ticket. Passengers may accompany a driver at no cost. For those wanting to watch, “The Drive” will feature special viewing locations to capture pictures and witness drivers experiencing the courses offered.

All drivers must be 18 years of age or older, present a valid driver’s license, sign a safety waiver, and pass a breathalyzer test (zero tolerance). A professional driver will sit in the passenger seat with all drivers on the Performance and Off-Road courses to receive the optimum and safest experience at “The Drive.”
