Chapel of the Bells

If you’re interested in a Vegas wedding, there are a few ways you can go. I, myself, did it Vegas-style—a chapel on the strip. Last month, I got married at the Chapel of the Bells (where various celebs have gotten married, including Kelly Ripa and Mickey Rooney). While they can’t promise you an every lasting marriage, they do brag that, once inside the chapel, no bride or groom has ever gotten cold feet.

What was our experience there? For a very reasonable price, my now-husband and I were picked up at our hotel, brought to the clerks’ office to get our marriage license, and then brought to the chapel. There, a very wise, old woman performed our ceremony. While it was short, she did throw in a lot of advice about love and marriage. After the ceremony, the limo brought us back to our hotel. The funniest moment? After the ceremony, the man at the desk handed us a tape recording of our ceremony and said, “In case things are cloudy in the morning.”

All in all, we thought the service they provided was well worth the price. So, if you’re thinkin’ about getting hitched Vegas-style, check out the website for Chapel of the Bells.

Seriously! That’s awesome! :) And, of course, by the way, congratulations! I love the part about giving you the tape for the next morning. Great!
